BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to our little Place of Happiness. To make your experience smooth, joyful, and secure, please take a moment to read through the following guidelines. These terms outline what you can expect from us and what we kindly ask of you.
Booking Window
You can book up to 30 days in advance, including for large groups.
Email Confirmation
You’ll receive a confirmation email after booking. If it doesn’t arrive or you spot something off, please contact us.
Changes & Cancellations
Plans change, we get it. You can modify or cancel your booking using the link in your confirmation email.
Simultaneous Bookings
To keep things flowing smoothly, we don’t allow simultaneous restaurant and beach bookings. Duplicate or conflicting bookings may be cancelled after notifying the guest to ensure a smooth service experience.
Right of Withdrawal (EU Law Compliance)
In line with Article 17 of Decree, Law n.º 24/2014, the right of withdrawal doesn’t apply to leisure bookings tied to a specific date which includes all reservations at Irmão.
No-Show Fee
To keep things fair, no-shows and late cancellations (within 1 hour of your reservation) are subject to a €10 per person fee. This will be charged to the card used to secure the booking.
Late Arrivals
Please arrive within 15 minutes (restaurant) or 30 minutes (beach) of your reserved time to keep your spot and avoid cancellations.
Big Groups
Online bookings are available for up to 12 people in our restaurant and up to 10 people on the beach.
For larger groups or special events, drop us a line at contact@praia-irmao.com. At the beach, up to 2 extra guests may be added for €50/person on top of the rental fee on our Le Salons and 1 extra guest may be added for 35€/person on top of the rental fee on our Lounge.
Time Allocation
· Restaurant: Up to 6 guests - 2 hours; 7+ guests - 3 hours
· Sunbeds: Reserved from 12:00 to 19h00
· Lounges & Le Salons: Reserved from 12:00 to 22h00 - Monday to Thursday | 12:00 to 23:00 - Friday to Sunday
Legal Identity
Praia Irmão is operated by Carlos Alberto de Almeida Cabaça, LDA, NIPC PT508029155, registered at Rua Laura Alves 9, 2820-093, Charneca da Caparica, and fully licensed under Portuguese tourism laws.
Restaurant vs Beach Access
A restaurant booking doesn’t include access to beach lounges (and vice versa).
Payment
Beach lounges are rented separately and payable on arrival. Food and drinks are charged separately.
Service
Our full menu and friendly service are available beachside too – no need to leave your lounge.
Walk-ins
We keep a number of beach lounges open for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.
Terms of Rental
Once you check in, your beach rental is non-refundable, unless we’re affected by a force majeure event (like weather).
Liability on the Beach
Please enjoy the beach responsibly. Children must be supervised. Alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas only, and always follows national safety rules.
Essentials
Bring a towel and sunscreen or browse our Little Bazaar if you forget something.
Dress Code
We’re a laid-back place, but we ask that you wear a shirt or equivalent in the restaurant and avoid sportswear or swimsuits.
Behaviour Policy
We want everyone to have a great time. That means no disruptive behaviour or themed costumes are allowed. We reserve the right to refuse entry or ask guests to leave based on behaviour, in accordance with Decreto-Lei n.º 128/2014.
Respect for Staff
Kindness goes a long way. All guests must treat our team with respect. Disruptive or abusive behaviour will result in immediate removal from the premises.
Food & Drinks
Outside food or drink isn’t allowed but we’ve got plenty of delicious options waiting for you.
Pet Policy
Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
Family-Friendly
Children are always welcome. We have highchairs available for toddlers.
Events Access
A reservation doesn’t include access to events, and an event ticket doesn’t include a table or beach lounge.
Responsible Alcohol Use
We follow local laws and good judgement. If someone appears intoxicated or disruptive, we may refuse service or entry. Guests must be 18+ to drink and may be asked for ID.
Liability Disclaimer
While we take every care, Praia Irmão isn’t responsible for accidents or lost items, except in cases of gross negligence or where excluded by law (DL n.º 67/2003).
Security Deposit
For large group bookings or events, a refundable security deposit may be required. Refunds are issued within 7 days post-inspection if no damages or violations occurred.
Force Majeure
Sometimes nature (or the world) has other plans. Praia Irmão shall not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control including, but not limited to, weather, pandemics, strikes, natural disasters, or governmental restrictions.
Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the District of Lisbon.
Complaint Process
If something’s not right, speak to our on-site team or email us within 24 hours. We’ll respond within 48 hours.

Photography & Media
We sometimes take photos or videos for promotion. By visiting, you consent to this unless you let us know otherwise. Guest-taken media can’t be used commercially without our written consent.
Data Protection (GDPR)
We handle all your personal data with care and in line with GDPR, handled per Regulation (EU) 2016/679. We only store what we need to support your booking and won’t share it without your consent. For any requests, reach out to privacy@praia-irmao.com.
Accessibility & Special Requests
We welcome all guests and strive to make Praia Irmão as accessible as possible. If you or someone in your group requires wheelchair access, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the best possible experience. For any accessibility or dietary needs, contact us at least 24 hours before your visit. We comply with national and EU accessibility regulations.
